The best gift you could give us would be to attend our wedding.  Really, that’s it.  There is no need to get us anything.

Physical gift registry

We’ve registered at Crate and Barrel (www.crateandbarrel.com) and Sur la Table (www.surlatable.com).  We’ve also chosen some plates, bowls, and glasses from Heath Ceramics (www.heathceramics.com) out of Sausalito, CA, which we will use to feed you when you come visit us. 

On another note, Sam and Neala have recently rebuilt their Seattle house.  This has been an exciting and challenging project, as one might imagine.  Neala and Sam moved into the house in February but there is still much to do, especially on the finishing touches. 

Specifically, Sam and Neala have not finished the kitchen backsplash tile, which will likely be Oceanside Glasstile Tessera mosaic blend, color Puget Sound (http://www.glasstile.com/default2.aspx?flashAutoMode=C_1&initPage=product_intro.html). 

Additionally, Sam and Neala have not chosen blinds for the new house windows.  Sheets work remarkably well as curtains, and Neala gets to remember the good times of her childhood by seeing her favorite flannel sheets hung up in the windows everyday.  Sam and Neala think that living in the house for a bit will help them decide on the best options for blinds. 

Finally, Sam and Neala are interested in a gyotaku, or fish print, as art in their living room (e.g., http://www.lorihatch.com/natureprints.html and http://www.sharronhuffman.com/index.htm and http://www.heatherfortner.com/index.html).  They look forward to working with an artist to choose this art. 

A contribution to the completion of the kitchen, to window blinds, or to art as a wedding gift would be greatly appreciated.  Then you must come visit us in Seattle and see how your gift looks and how grateful we are!
